I felt this when I started posting my work two years ago. It felt like I was just starting out when others were already running at top speed. But that’s the thing. Everywhere you go there are people who will be further along than you but you don’t have the same life or experience. They aren’t where you are. That what helps me believe it’s not too late.
So true. I struggle with this a lot and maybe always will. I came across this great quote a while back: "Slowly is the fastest way to get to where you want to be." I try to remind myself of that when this feeling starts to creep.
Every time I learn these new words I think "Wow, this word is weirdly relevant to my life right now." But it's probably because these feelings are universal and I'm not alone in the torschlusspanik :) Happy early birthday!
